Wisbech Mayor Presents Award at annual Sea Cadets Presentation Evening

On Friday 7 February, Wisbech Town Council's Mayor Cllr Michael Hill attended the Annual Sea Cadet Presentation Evening for the Wisbech Sea Cadet unit, along with parents, carers and sponsors. The Sea Cadets were rewarded for their efforts over the last 12 months and the evening also incorporated a raffle to raise funds for the unit. The Mayor said, "It was a very informative and interesting evening"....

"Given the low number of nominations received to date for this year's Wisbech Unsung Heroes Awards – in some categories there have been none (and the closing date is 22 March 2019) – the council has decided that the ceremony (scheduled currently for 12 April 2019) be postponed until the summer of this year.

It's time to get nominating your Wisbech Unsung Heroes for this year's awards.

Wisbech Town Council is running the Wisbech Unsung Heroes Awards with support from the Fenland Citizen and the aim is to recognise those townspeople who go the extra mile for their community.

There are seven categories and a panel of judges will choose the winners in each.
