The magnificent 900 year old parish church of St Peter and St Paul is the main attraction of this annual event. Breathtaking displays of traditional flowers and exotic blooms that seem to get better every year down to the skills of numerous flower arrangers. The theme for 2019 is 'My kind of music'.

In the church gardens you will find stalls selling a variety of goods; adjacent to the gardens and set within the church hall is La Vie en Rose Café where you can enjoy light refreshments or set meals with waitress service. To pre-book set meals for groups, please go to our website www.wisbechrose-fair.co.uk or call 01945 582508 (10am-12noon or answerphone)

The church is open from 8.30am each day. Thanksgiving service 10.30am Sunday 7 July.

The Young Fenland Poet Laureate Award 2019-2020

The Young Fenland Poet Laureate Award 2019-2020

Open for entries until midnight on October 4th 2019 from poets aged 17 and under who live or attend school in Fenland/North East Cambridgeshire. The competition will be co-judged by Award-winning poets Wendy Cope, OBE and Lachlan Mackinnon. To be eligible, poems must be less than 40 lines and previously unpublished. Only one entry per poet. Poem can be in free verse or a stricter form. There is no set theme, but it is expected that the entries will reference Fenland in some way. Please send three hard-copies to :PO Box 234, Wisbech. PE14 4EZ, do not include your name and contact details on the copies. Write a brief statement explaining what you feel you have to gain from the role of Young Fenland Poet Laureate . The winning and commended poems will be published in the Autumn issue of the Fenland Poetry Journal and the prize-winner and runners-up will be invited to attend a ceremony at March Town Hall in November for the presentation of awards.
