After Hours Live - Alan Vibes & Christopher

After Hours Live - Alan Vibes & Christopher

Fri, 05 Oct 2018 19:00

After Hours Live is a monthly live music event that takes place on the first Friday of every month in Wisbech, the heart of the Fens. It combines first-class entertainment with a twist of faith. Performers come from far and wide across the UK, as well as some great home-grown local talent.

The doors of Octavia's café open at 7pm open and the kettle is put on the boil, brewing up steaming cups of tea and luscious cappuccinos and lattes. Free entry means that you can come and enjoy the comfortable cafe atmosphere and still be able to afford a cup of your favorite beverage and maybe even treat yourself to an indulgent slice of cake! Some performers may also bring CDs they have recorded or books they have written that will also be available on the night.

Profits made in the café go to our local homeless charity, The Ferry Project.

I โค๏ธ Wisbech

I โค๏ธ Wisbech

Sat, 27 Oct 2018 09:00

We all know that those who live, work and invest in an area are the best people to ask on whats right about where they live, and what could be improved. This very notion is happening in Wisbech on the 27th October 2018 (the day of Halloween celebrations).

The I โค๏ธ Wisbech* Team will be in the Market Place engaging with residents, shoppers and passers–by about the Town.

The team are seeking views on 3 simple questions:
What do people love about Wisbech?
How could people make it better?
What would people like to do about it?

Volunteers from the I โค๏ธ Wisbech Team will be on hand to take peoples views and thoughts, and will be encouraging them to participate in an art based project. The team will collect peoples answers and collate them into a survey response which will be used to deliver possible future services and local projects.

If you have a great idea on how to improve the Town of Wisbech come and tell us – we will be really pleased to hear from you. The team will be on hand from approximately 9am through to 6pm, so watch out for the I โค๏ธ Wisbech gazebo and come and say hello..!!

โŒš๏ธโฑ๏ธโฒ๏ธโฐ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ CLOCKS GO BACK 1 HOUR ๐Ÿ•‘๐Ÿ•

Sun, 28 Oct 2018 02:00

In the UK the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on the last Sunday in March, and back 1 hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October.

The period when the clocks are 1 hour ahead is called British Summer Time (BST). There's more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings (sometimes called Daylight Saving Time).

When the clocks go back, the UK is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

To avoid confusion on what direction to change your clocks in, remember:
spring forward, fall back.

After Hours Live - Paul Bell

After Hours Live - Paul Bell

Fri, 02 Nov 2018 19:00
